ADASI seeks contributions from writers who resonate to the dictum
of one of its contributing authors: "The history of science is as
much about science as it is about history; I aim to present science
through its history, and to make our heroes real by connecting their
unfinished work to the continuity of civilizations." ADASI seeks
books which reflect the viewpoint of individual authors and does
not accept for publication "politically correct" books written by
committees or requiring institutional approvals. Its editorial
associates accept or reject, but do not offer compromises or meddle
in an author's works. Acutely sensing the heuristic nature of
learning and the dynamism of the quest for new knowledge, ADASI
does not shrink from publishing a book because its author seeks a
dialectic overturn of his own position from an earlier work.
The roots of its attitude toward free expression can be seen in
Galileo's finest compliment to a fellow scientist - Kepler - of
whom Galileo said that he is "more a friend to truth than to his
own opinions."
Note to Prospective Contributors: Prior to submitting your
manuscript, please contact us by mail or e-mail for an invitation
to submit, describing in 500 words or less your topic and your
motivation for writing on that topic. Unaccepted manuscripts will
not be returned and will be destroyed unless the author provides
a shipping container with full postage.
